The house has no gas line. Every tank is carried up on foot, so when one runs out mid-brew, the coffee waits for the next trip down to the village. That morning, it did.
Which raised a simple question: how much of the flame's heat ever reaches the coffee at all?

Matteo Giuseppe Matsuura Frontini, the creator of Turbo Moka, is an engineer with a background in product development for high-performance e-bikes, a field where precision engineering, reliability, and attention to detail are paramount. With Turbo Moka, the aim is to celebrate an almost century-old tradition, reinterpreting it through a multidisciplinary approach that combines good design, physics and environmental awareness.
